She has written series of articles that provide systematic analysis on how Sierra Leone is governed by patriarchy and has provided scholarly insights infused with thorough recommendations towards closing the wider gap of inequality in Sierra Leone and Africa at large.
She is also the only Sierra Leonean contributor of the anthology, “In her words: African Women’s Perspectives on Gender Equality”.
Educational Background: She holds an M.A in Gender, Globalisation and Rights from the University of Galway, Ireland. An M.Sc. in Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology from Njala University, Sierra Leone. A B.A Hons. in Mass Communication from Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone.
Activism and Advocacy: She is the Founder of Moonteen, a non-profit, community-based organisation that focuses on girls’ education, rights and empowerment, sexual, reproductive and health rights. Also, she is a team leader at Feminists United Sierra and Allies, a social movement of young Sierra Leoneans with the collective goal of inspiring equality.
